June 16, 2012

The Baldwin Bridge spans the Connecticut River.

A beautiful start for our day. Not a cloud in the sky.

Don’t tell me that’s all fresh water – if it is, can we get some of it out here? Are they just letting it all flow out to the sea?

Yes, they let it all run out. The entire fertile stream, engendered from the fecund loins of the river valley, spills out in a surging exundation into the lap of Mother Ocean. I agree that it sounds disgusting, and I’m pretty sure that it’s condemned in Leviticus, but it’s not strictly speaking illegal under Connecticut law. They say it’s natural. Go figure.
