South shore

June 7, 2011

Suzy captured a hunk of Nature on her iPhone, which lead to this experiment with video. I have no idea if it will work. There may be a few versions of this post before I get it right.

Update: If you are particularly observant, you will notice that the earth is upside down. This is not an actual property of Block Island, but is a side-effect of being left-handed, which is a property of Suzy. There’s a button at the bottom of the iPhone, which, among other functions, defines the phone’s orientation. If you’re left handed, and hold the iPhone with the button to your left, so that you can access the button with your more nimble fingers, the iPhone thinks you’re holding the camera upside down, and the app we use to upload the video respects this orientation. I wonder what I can do about that.

Update: I ran the original video through iMovie, and uploaded the new movie.
