Rest Day in Cromwell – what else happens

Bruce Miller of Berlin Bicycle doesn’t have a replacement tire for our wrecked spare, but he does locate one for us in Newington, seven miles away.

Tim’s brother Andy and his wife Anneke arrive for a planned get-together later in the evening. Before dinner we travel in Andy’s car (first time in nine days) and ride to the bike shop to pick up our new spare tire. Thanks to Bruce, Andy, Anneke, and Newington Bicycle
After another ice cream break, we rest a couple of hours before meeting more friends and family for dinner at the Crowne Plaza Motel. With an update to Photogene (thanks Mike Miller for pointing it out) I make a couple of collages of everybody who came (almost everybody – I was there too). We have a lovely dinner with Tim’s boyhood best friend, Joey, his wife Jane, Jane’s brother John, Tim’s sister Margot, her husband Peter, along with Andy and Anneke.
It is a most productive and enjoyable rest day!

Most of the time I take close-ups of plants—especially seed pods and other remnants left after the plant has flowered. Sometimes my close-ups change. So far, hands and abandoned machinery have pulled me away from plants.
